Free laptop stand from wine cork
Instead of buying these bulky stands, here is DIY instruction on the stand. Extremely portable and free. You are saving the planet. Read on!
I learned it from Yuan, a telemark skier friend from Chamonix.
You take cork from wine bottle. Drink your wine after making laptop stands.
Cut two pieces about 1/2 inch along the side. The trick is to put the knife on the cork and push it to roll. After a few rolls, it will make a clean cut.
Place them under your laptop along both corners. It creates 1/2 inch gap where heat will dissipate. They are small and portable and free. They make great gift and natural.
What makes this a great idea? You are saving energy because your computer will spin fan to cool and that makes your laptop live longer as well.
